Melrose Place Fans' Prayers Are Answered

It has been confirmed that nighttime soap vixen Heather Locklear will join the cast of the revamped Melrose Place, which airs Tuesday nights on the CW. Heather's debut will come November 17; there is no word yet on how long the actress will stay.

When Heather was brought to the original Melrose back in 1993 (pictured left at the 1993 Emmy Awards) as Amanda Woodward to help its sagging ratings, no one was sure at first how long she would stay, and she ended up staying with the show for its entire seven-year run. Heather joins former Melrose castmates Laura Leighton, Thomas Calabro, Josie Bisset and Daphne Zuniga.

There is also no word on what this means for Amanda and Peter Burns, played by real-life beau Jack Wagner. Jack currently stars on the daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, and last we saw Amanda and Peter, they were happily riding off into the sunset together (after faking their deaths).
