Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom Returns April 4

One of television's longest running series is back for an eighth season! Animal Planet brings the awe and splendor of the natural world to viewers in the comfort of their own homes with the premiere of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom on Sunday, April 4, at 7 PM (ET/PT).

The season premiere kicks off in our own backyard with the black bears of Northern Minnesota in BEARWALKER OF THE NORTHWOODS. We have always been told that to get between a mother bear and her cubs is to take your life in your hands, but Dr. Lynn Rogers illustrates that many of the perceptions people have of black bears are wrong as he gets incredibly close to these amazing creatures; from taking naps with them in the woods to being able to put radio collars on them without sedating them, Dr. Rogers is able to interact with them in unprecedented ways.

  1. If you are one of the 86,000 Lily and Hope watchers on Bear.org, you will not want to miss this opportunity to meet one of the researchers of this wonderful experience of seeing a live birth of a wild Black Bear and the interactions between Mother and Cub. It has become one of my favorite pastimes, I will so miss seeing these two wonderful creatures when they exit the den, but hopefully, we will get a chance to see them live their lives to the fullest. I can't wait to see this show!
